Purchasers can now save up to £15,000* buying a family home at Kite Meadows, thanks to the Government’s recent Stamp Duty holiday announcement.
Until the 31st of March 2021, buyers will pay no Stamp Duty on homes under £500,000, a significant reduction on the previous threshold of £125,000. For homes above £500,000 purchasers only pay 5% Stamp Duty on the amount above the new threshold. For instance, for a £675,000 property, 5% Stamp Duty is only paid on £175,000 – a saving of £15,000.
Markus Kendall-Young, Group Head of Sales and Marketing at Catalyst, comments: “The Government’s recent Stamp Duty Holiday announcement is fantastic for those looking to buy a new home in the next year, and we’ve already seen a considerable uplift in enquires since the announcement. As this is only available until March next year, it’s worth working out your finances and start looking for your home as soon as possible, in order to benefit from the cut.”
