Yes we are! We know it’s more important now than ever to provide homes that people love.
That’s why, while our Sales and Marketing Suites are temporarily closed, our sales teams are still working hard to help our customers to purchase the perfect property for them.
What appointments are available?
We are arranging one-to-one video appointments, and offering guided walk-throughs of brand new virtual show home tours for customers.
To help work around you and your schedule, we have also extended our opening times to 7 days a week at some of our developments, with appointments available over Facetime, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
We can still connect you with financial advisers or solicitors, to help keep your home buying journey moving forward.
Can I still reserve a property?
Yes, buyers are still reserving homes across all our developments. Our sales team will talk you through the process.
I’ve heard that lenders won’t provide mortgages anymore – is that true?
Following government advice, there has been short-term closure of some branches and offices, and some lenders now have reduced capacity to process mortgage applications. As a result, some providers have temporarily reduced the number of mortgage products they offer.
However, selected mortgage providers are continuing to lend. More and more lenders are offering ‘desktop evaluations’, which means that they can value the property using extensive data on the market in the area, without visiting the property.
Our sales teams and your financial advisor can offer you guidance on lenders still offering mortgage products.
What if I am struggling to get a mortgage?
We know it’s a difficult and uncertain time, so we will take your individual circumstances into account. If you are having difficulty obtaining a mortgage now, we may still be able to take your reservation, to help you secure the home you want. Speak to our sales teams, who will do their best to help you.
I am in the process of buying with a home with Catalyst – will this be affected?
We are continuing to progress with sales, and are aiming to minimise any delays, and are contacting customers individually should they have any questions throughout the home buying process. Please contact our Sales Team to find out more.
Am I allowed to move into my new home?
The Government has advised that buyers can still move into vacant properties, as long as safety precautions are put in place.
A number of our customers need to move, and we have helped some of our buyers safely do so throughout March and April, with our team on hand ‘virtually’ to help them get settled.
Equally, we are taking government advice very seriously, and for buyers who were due to move in but can’t complete due to the current situation, or would prefer to delay, we can delay completions.
