We are thrilled that the Catalyst development Bond Mansions has been shortlisted for a 2021 World Architecture News Award in the Residential category.
Known for celebrating creativity in architectural design, The World Architecture News Awards are some of the most prestigious and competitive architectural awards in the industry.
Designed by leading architectural practice Conran and Partners, Bond Mansions is a key milestone in this community-focused regeneration project, in which we are delivering 1000 new homes alongside a new public park and significant new commercial and community spaces, on the north end of Portobello Road in West London.
Bond Mansions is a seven story linear building which follows the sweep of Wornington Road, and marks the start of the ‘spine’ to the masterplan. The WAN Awards have recognised the build for its references to traditional Notting Hill terraces, utilising high quality materials such as handmade brick and reconstituted Portland stone, overlaid with classic proportions and crafted detailing to create a calm, timeless residential building of the highest quality.
Markus Kendall-Young, Director of Sales and Marketing at Catalyst (London), comments: “It is a pleasure to work with Conran and Partners on Portobello Square, delivering homes of unique architectural merit to one of London’s most famous neighbourhoods. It is especially important in regeneration projects to build communities which feel like a natural extension of their wider location, having a long-term positive impact on their neighbourhood. We’re really proud of what we have delivered, and are continuing to deliver, at Portobello Square, and it’s fantastic for this to be recognised on a global level through this shortlisting.”
